Transitioning from active duty to civilian life
Transitioning from military service to civilian life is a major life change—one that brings both new opportunities and real challenges for Veterans and their Families. Whether you’re retiring after a long career, completing your first enlistment, or changing civilian careers, the journey can feel uncertain and overwhelming.
At the Semper Fi Foundation, we understand that transition is more than just a change in job or location—it’s a complete shift in identity, purpose, and community. That’s why we’re dedicated to assisting the Veteran Family every step of the way.
Through our comprehensive support system, we’ve assembled trusted resources, developed practical tools, and built strong connections across Arizona—all with one goal: to help the Veteran and the Veteran Family navigate this next chapter with confidence and support.
At Semper Fi Foundation, you’re not just making a transition—you’re starting a new mission. And we are here to make sure you are not alone.

Our services include:
- Resume translation to help the Veteran communicate their military experience in civilian terms.
- Job search and placement assistance with Veteran-ready employers.
- Mentorship and guidance from fellow Veterans who have successfully transitioned.
- Support with VA home loans and tailored financial planning.
- Peer support and networking groups to foster connection, purpose, and community.

The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation stands as a model of philanthropic impact—bridging financial gaps, elevating academic achievement, and honoring military sacrifice by empowering the next generation through education. It is the nation’s oldest and largest need‑based scholarship provider for military children, dedicated to “Honor Marines by Educating Their Children.” Its programs support post‑high school, undergraduate, and vocational/technical education nationwide

Legislative Advocacy for Veteran Families
At the Semper Fi Foundation we believe that honoring our veterans means standing up for their families—especially when it comes to the laws and policies that affect their daily lives. While many organizations provide services and aid, we go a step further: we engage in legislative change that ensures veteran families receive the long-term support they deserve.
What We’re Advocating For:
- Education benefits for children of our Veterans at Arizona Universities and Community/Trade School Colleges.
- Healthcare access for veteran families (who otherwise do not qualify for VA benefits)
- Housing support and affordable home ownership for veteran families
- Mental health funding
- Peer support and networking groups to foster connection, purpose, and community.
